A Beginners Guide To Meditation

***Disclaimer - this post may include affiliate links***

Spanning way back to 1500 BCE, mindfulness and meditation have been around forever. Nowadays, it is more and more necessary to practice our breathing and to meditate to calm life down a little.

Today I’m going to be giving you a little beginner’s guide on how to do it - with my favorite videos to get you started.

What is meditation?

Meditation is finding calm amongst the storm. It’s taking a few moments out of your day to breathe in and out and balance yourself. It’s all about inner finding peace.

Meditation is such a brilliant thing to add to your daily habits, as it improves anxiety, depression, and self-esteem.

Where do you start?

I’ll be honest, meditation is easier said than done but the rewards are endless. Here are some little tips to get you started:

1. At either the beginning or end of the day, find a video with a tutorial or calming music that suits you.

3. Sit down in a quiet place and close your eyes.

4. Think about something that makes you feel happy. Get those distractions out of your mind.

5. Only concentrate on your breathing, nothing else. Breathe in and breathe out. This is the most important step.

6. Remember all the things to be grateful for.

7. Open your eyes - Have a lovely day!

Happy meditating!
