How to Find Magic in Your Everyday

**Disclaimer: This article may contain affiliate links**

Christmas and the holiday season is definitely a magical time of the year. It might be the music playing around the house, gift-giving, or even the Christmas movies. The season feels super special!

But sometimes, once Christmas is over, we can begin to feel a little bit down, and lose a bit of that magic...  How are you feeling today?  Are you a little like me and have a bit of the holiday blues? Don’t fret, we can experience magic every day, not just on Christmas!

I want to help you take that special feeling into the New Year and beyond, and to encourage you to find the magical moments in your everyday lives.

1. Give gifts outside of Christmas - Though receiving feels amazing, giving makes us feel even better. Outside of Christmas and birthdays, remember you can show your friends and family you love them by sending them cards and presents to remind them you’re thinking of them.

To start the year, what is a better thing to give someone than this set of 150 motivational cards from Amazon.

2. Dedicate your time or money to a worthy cause - If you were planning to send some money to charity this Christmas, perhaps think about setting up a standing order. If you want to do something more hands-on, why not volunteer regularly at your local soup kitchen. You’ll see the beauty of kindness throughout the year.

3. Spend quality time with your family - A lot of us get busy with our usual routines and forget to check in with our families as much as we want to. Make an active effort to get in touch, even if virtually!

Check out the Echo Show 5 (Amazon Alexa with Video Calls) to get in touch with whomever you’d like from the comfort of your living room!

4. Embrace playtime! - Invest in things that make you happy. As adults, we don’t take time to act like children anymore. Go dancing, play a sport, paint a picture, embrace play!

Play: How it Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul by Vaughan and Brown will give you a further insight into why it’s good for your soul to play!

5.Look into astrology - There is nothing more magical than the study of constellations. Check out my recent blog on astrology to learn more:

6. Remember how much potential you have - Sometimes, we forget to see the beauty in our lives when we forget how beautiful we are, ourselves. Don’t forget who you are! Magic will follow.
