How To Have a Self-Care Halloween Weekend

Halloween’s looking a lil’ different this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate in our own special way. If you’ve got nothing planned yet, why not arrange a self-care date with yourself!

I recently wrote a post about practicing self-care during the new normal - how have you been doing with this so far?

Self-care is such an important thing to add to your regime. When you’re kind to yourself, your self will be kind to you! Self-care is a simple yet effective act of love towards yourself, it can be as little as lighting a candle or going for a walk when you’re feeling blue. It has the power to change your overall mood, feeling, and energy.

This Halloween, I’m going to take the time to relax, watch some movies and eat some good seasonal food.

Here are 5 ideas on how to spend the 31st:

1. Go for a nice autumn stroll while pumpkin picking - enjoy that autumn breeze whilst picking your best pumpkin for carving or eating.

2. Make some delicious treats with seasonal goods - Ahh there’s nothing like autumn treats. Warm cocoa, pumpkin pie, and veggie soups.

3. Do some yoga that’s Halloween related!- Adriene (Yoga with Adriene) has a great mindful / spooky-inspired playlist for yogis.

4. Set the mood with essential oils - Cedarwood, Cinnamon, Orange, and Frankincense are good ones to bring the mindful yet eerie atmosphere.

5. Put a movie on, your feet up, and facemask on. Relax - as much as you can during a scary movie of course!

Enjoy Halloween this year.

You’re all magical!
